How to get a Flipkart label without the invoice page
Why the invoice is in the same PDF at all
Flipkart sends one PDF per batch, one A4 sheet per order. The sheet is the label on top and the tax invoice underneath, separated by a dashed cut line. That is convenient for the seller — one file per day — and inconvenient for the printer, because the label and the invoice belong in different places: the label on the parcel, the invoice inside it. Printing the whole sheet on a 4 × 6 roll is what produces half-printed labels and wasted stock.
Spotting the invoice page in three seconds
- It has a GSTIN and an invoice number near the top; the label has the order ID and the courier instead.
- It has HSN codes and a quantity/amount table; the label has a barcode and a QR code.
- It is printed narrower than the page — the invoice half is usually rotated, which is why it looks sideways in a viewer.
- If your file has alternating label and invoice pages (label, invoice, label, invoice), you have the split layout already: the tool pairs them, and page ranges are not needed.
Split a label PDF in four steps
- Look at one page before croppingOpen your Flipkart PDF and find the label page: the barcode, QR code and address block. The invoice page has GSTIN, invoice number, HSN codes and an amount column, and no barcode at the top.
- Choose the layoutIn the Flipkart cropper, “Label + invoice separate” splits every sheet into a label page and an invoice page. With “Keep invoice” turned off, the output is label pages only.
- Crop one page firstSet Pages to “First page only”, crop, and check that the barcode and the full address block are inside the output before running the batch.
- Keep the invoice somewhereDownload the invoice pages as well — or keep the original Flipkart file — before you print the label-only output. GST records and returns both depend on it.
Option 1 — one setting in the cropper
The Flipkart label crop tool splits the sheet in one operation: label pages first, invoice pages second, both taken from the same crop geometry. The invoice half is rotated 90° so it prints across a portrait page. This is the option to use for a normal batch from Seller Hub.
Option 2 — page ranges when labels and invoices alternate
If your PDF already has separate label and invoice pages, do not crop twice. Take the label pages with Extract pages using the page range, then do the same for the invoice pages. The crop is only needed for sheets where the label and the invoice share a page.
Option 3 — split and merge when the layout changes mid-batch
A batch that mixes two layouts cannot be cropped in one pass, and no setting can fix that. Split the file at the change (Split PDF), crop each part with the settings that fit it, then Merge PDF the results back in dispatch order. Sorting by courier afterwards re-groups them for handover.
Keep the invoice for GST and returns
The label without the invoice is a printing convenience, not a bookkeeping decision. A GST audit asks for invoices, and a return or a lost-parcel claim asks for the same document six weeks later. Download the invoice pages with the labels, store them by month, and treat the label-only PDF as disposable output.
One trap: the invoice is removed from the label PDF, not from Flipkart. Nothing about this crop cancels a return, changes a GST filing, or hides the invoice from the buyer — the buyer’s copy comes from Flipkart, not from your print run.
Meesho and Amazon do the same thing differently
A Meesho sheet puts the label and the invoice on one A4 page too, but it has no fixed geometry — the cropper measures the cut line and the invoice heading per file. The method is identical: split, then print. Meesho label crop covers the differences.
Amazon sheets are different again and have not been measured by this tool, so the Amazon preset is a starting point with custom margins rather than a template. Start there, check one label, and do not assume a Flipkart range applies.
Where to go next
The batch version of this workflow — sorting by SKU or courier, pairing separately downloaded label and invoice files, and the honest limits of a browser-tab crop — is on Flipkart label and invoice sorter. If the label prints clipped after the split, the fix is in the print dialog: how to print Flipkart labels.
Questions sellers ask
Will the buyer still get their invoice?
Yes. The invoice the buyer receives comes from Flipkart, not from your print run. Cropping it out of your printing PDF changes nothing for the buyer.
Is the invoice removed from the PDF or only hidden?
With “Keep invoice” off, the output PDF contains label pages only — the invoice pages are not written at all. The original file you uploaded is unchanged and is not kept on our server.
What if my batch has both layouts in it?
Crop it in two passes: split the PDF where the layout changes, crop each part with the settings that fit it, then merge the outputs back in dispatch order. One crop cannot fit two geometries.
Do I have to remove the invoice to print on a thermal roll?
Not strictly, but you should. A 4 × 6 roll cannot hold the whole A4 sheet, so keeping the invoice either shrinks the label or clips it — both end with a barcode that does not scan.
